Astana Akim Zhenis Kassymbek announced on his Instagram page the construction of new water supply facilities, reports infohub.kz.

"In developing the city, we pay special attention to infrastructure. We are modernizing and building heat, electricity, sewage, stormwater, water supply and other facilities. I would like to elaborate on the city's water supply. If in 2024 water consumption was 340 thousand m³/day, this year it is already 380 thousand m³/day. To increase capacity, we are building and modernizing a number of facilities," wrote Zhenis Kassymbek.

For example, the third pumping and filtration station (NFS-3) was previously built and commissioned. The project's capacity is 105 thousand m³/day. Next year, work is planned to begin on expanding NFS-3, which will add 70 thousand m³/day.

Another important project is the construction of a technical water pipeline from the Telman pumping station. Of the 13.2 km, 10.5 km of networks have been laid. This pipeline will ensure the supply of raw water in the volume of 50 thousand m³/day to the water treatment station.

In addition, work is underway on the fourth pumping and filtration station (NFS-4) with an intake pipeline from the K. Satpayev Canal. The project's capacity will be 210 thousand m³/day.

In total, about 20 projects for the construction of main water supply networks need to be implemented in the coming years. The implementation of these projects will ensure a reliable and uninterrupted water supply for the city, taking into account the further development of the capital and growing water consumption.
