A resident of Astana has reported an attack by a group of people following a conflict at a nightclub. According to the woman, she was knocked to the ground, kicked, and dragged by her hair, as reported by infohub.kz.
A user of the social network Threads under the handle welobeee posted an account of the incident, saying she was attacked outside a club in Astana. "They attacked in a group, beat me, and leaked the video. On August 15, I accidentally brushed against a guy and immediately apologized. But his girlfriends thought it wasn't enough: they responded with profanities and insults like 'Why are you so wide?' The guy himself quickly joined in and started swinging at me. Thanks to the security guards for stepping in. But that group didn't stop there. They waited for me outside at 6 a.m. when the club closed and attacked as a mob. The club's cameras clearly show me being knocked down, kicked in the body, and dragged by my hair. The result: bruises all over my body and a mild concussion. All this time, security was literally pulling them off me. But the worst came later. This guy filmed me while his friends beat me as I lay on the ground, and he proudly started sharing it on Telegram channels and public pages," she wrote.
According to the Kazakh woman, the people she had the conflict with are now messaging her on social media, demanding she withdraw her police report. The Astana Police Department responded to the publication. "The Esil District Police Department has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the infliction of bodily harm. Currently, necessary investigative actions are being taken, and an expert examination has been ordered. Measures are being taken to identify all individuals involved in this offense. Further details are not disclosed in the interests of the investigation," the statement said.
