A young woman named Zhazira was brutally killed in Astana in a parking lot near her home. Her former husband is suspected of the crime. Surveillance cameras captured the attack. According to relatives, the man initially agreed to the divorce but later tried aggressively to win her back, using force and threats. In August, as the victim's brother says, the ex-husband took Zhazira out of town, hit her and strangled her. After that, she filed a police report.
That same day, he was reportedly detained for two weeks for driving under the influence. However, on September 7, he came to her again with a knife.
