In Atyrau, a man climbed onto an air conditioner mounted on the second floor of an apartment building, and after footage surfaced on social media, it emerged that he was a suspect in a criminal case. The news was reported by infohub.kz.
Video of the man sitting on the outdoor air conditioning unit spread across social media, including a post published by the Instagram page atyrauvibe.
According to the regional Police Department, the incident occurred on the evening of October 6. The department said the man had been named a suspect in a criminal case back in September, but had failed to appear before police despite being summoned. He has now been taken to a police station.
The department explained that after a conflict with an acquaintance, the suspect and his accomplices inflicted bodily injuries on the man using a bladed weapon.
Under a private court ruling, authorities have been instructed to give a legal assessment of the man's actions. Investigative measures are currently underway.
Police urged citizens not to spread false and unverified information.
