In Atyrau, at 4:30 a.m. in the Bereke microdistrict on Saryarka Street, a group of young men beat a local resident after he asked them to be quiet, reports infohub.kz.
According to case materials, the victim's wife first asked the noisy group to quiet down. The young men ignored her and continued shouting.
When the man approached them himself, one of them punched him in the face. After he fell, three of them began hitting him with their hands and feet, while another used a shovel handle.
The beating stopped when a passerby started filming the incident on his phone. The beaten man managed to get up and run into a house. But the young men did not stop there: a cobblestone flew after the fleeing man and shattered a window.
All four admitted guilt in court, compensated for the damage, and apologized. Recently, Atyrau Court No. 2 found the young men guilty of group hooliganism and sentenced each to three years of restricted freedom. They had been in custody before the verdict and were released in the courtroom.
