A solemn ceremony to raise the national flag, dedicated to Republic Day, was held on the Square of State Symbols in Atyrau. Bolat Akchulakov, akim of Atyrau Region, took part in the event, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the Atyrau Region akimat, representatives of state and law enforcement agencies, veterans, young people and city residents joined the regional head at the ceremony.
During the celebration, the national flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan was raised and the national anthem was played. The regional akim then addressed the gathering with a congratulatory message.
"Republic Day is an important milestone in the history of our statehood. Today we take stock of the path we have traveled and set tasks for the future. Under the leadership of President Qasym-Jomart Toqaev, reforms aimed at improving the well-being of citizens and strengthening the state are being consistently implemented. Shared responsibility for the future of Kazakhstan, unity and harmony are the foundation of our further development. I wish everyone good health, prosperity to every family, and peace and prosperity to our country," Bolat Akchulakov said.
The event concluded with a concert program.
