A basic military training teacher at a Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Atyrau has been dismissed after reports that he exchanged messages with an underage female student. The Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools autonomous educational organization announced the move in response to a request from a NUR.KZ correspondent, infohub.kz reports.

The story came to public attention after the student's relative, @ddaiurisss, posted about it on Threads. According to her, the man allegedly asked the schoolgirl to meet and messaged her late at night.

"In the messages he asks what she is doing, whether she has eaten, and advises her to dress warmly. After getting her phone number through a classmate, he texts her at night and suggests they meet," the woman wrote.

The author of the post claims that when acquaintances questioned him, the teacher explained his behavior as a joke. Later, according to the girl's relative, he continued the correspondence, saying he had been misunderstood.

The schoolgirl's family turned to the school's leadership and intends to seek an official investigation.

The Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools autonomous educational organization said its School Safety Service conducted an internal review following the publication.

"The Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools autonomous educational organization reports that the School Safety Service conducted an internal review in connection with information that appeared on social media about a basic military training teacher at NIS Atyrau. The review was carried out in accordance with the current student protection policy. Based on the results of the review and the disciplinary commission's examination of the materials, the employment contract with the teacher was terminated for committing an immoral offense incompatible with continued teaching activity, under subparagraph 14) of paragraph 1 of Article 52 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the statement said.
