In Atyrau, a juvenile police inspector prevented a potential tragedy by noticing a fire near a residential building and promptly evacuating people, reports infohub.kz.
The incident occurred in the courtyard of a house on M. Ute misov Street, where tree branches touching a power line caught fire. Maxim Doskaliev, an inspector of the juvenile police group of the Atyrau police department, was passing by and instantly assessed the danger.
According to the Telegram channel "News of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the officer immediately entered the residential building and led people outside. Residents were evacuated to a safe place, after which Maxim Doskaliev called the fire service and monitored the situation until the arrival of specialists, keeping people away from the danger zone.
"Thanks to the vigilance of the police officer and the timely decision made, residents were evacuated to a safe place, which made it possible to prevent possible consequences," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
The department also noted that the inspector ensured safety at the scene until the arrival of firefighters, not allowing people into the danger zone.
