The Atyrau Oil Refinery has a new head. Muratjan Musaybekov has been appointed as the General Director and Chairman of the Management Board of LLP "Atyrau Oil Refinery", reports the website infohub.kz.
The decision was made at an extraordinary general meeting of the company's participants. The new director was introduced to the plant's staff by Aset Magauov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC "KazMunayGas".
Musaybekov has extensive experience in the KazMunayGas system and the oil and gas industry. Over the years, he has held positions including Director for Implementation of Oil Refining and Petrochemical Projects at KMG, Managing Director for Oil Refining, and Deputy General Director of JSC "KazMunayGas - Refining and Marketing". He also served as First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of LLP "KPI Inc." and held positions in other state and private structures.
The new head of the Atyrau Refinery is tasked with improving operational efficiency and increasing the yield of light petroleum products. Additionally, it is necessary to enhance the reliability and energy efficiency of production processes, continue implementing environmental projects, and create safe and comfortable conditions for workers. The management of KazMunayGas also emphasized ensuring the stable and uninterrupted operation of the plant.
The extraordinary general meeting also terminated the powers of the previous General Director and Chairman of the Management Board, Kuanysh Bishimov.
