A TikTok livestream led to administrative cases for two women in Atyrau after one of them said during the broadcast that she had been a "terrorist for 20 years" and that "the entire National Security Committee knows me." The news was reported by infohub.kz.

The Atyrau Region Police Department published details about the two Atyrau residents who made the careless remarks during a TikTok livestream on its official Instagram page. At the start of the video posted by police, one of the women can be heard saying: "I've been a terrorist for 20 years. The entire National Security Committee knows me."

The press service said police identified the two women, aged 38 and 39, who committed the offenses during the livestream on social media.

"Both women were taken to the police station. Following a check, three administrative cases were opened against them: for petty hooliganism, for distributing prohibited content, and for wearing clothing that conceals the face in public places," the Police Department said.

The materials from the administrative cases have been referred to court. The women also took part in a preventive talk with a theologian, who explained the requirements of the law, public order norms and the need to avoid such violations in the future.

"Social media does not exempt anyone from obeying the law. Any illegal actions, including those committed during livestreams, will be stopped in accordance with the law, and those responsible will be held accountable," the Police Department added.
