In Atyrau, participants of a wedding motorcade who posted videos of gross traffic violations on social media have been held accountable, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police officers monitoring social media found footage showing gross traffic violations by members of a wedding motorcade in Atyrau. The investigation revealed that on Abulkhair Khan Avenue, drivers and passengers of Volkswagen Polo and Lada Priora cars committed actions that posed a real threat to road safety and other road users. As a result of the checks, patrol police identified all those involved.

In total, eight people were brought to responsibility for violating maneuvering rules, driving and operating vehicles in violation of established requirements, not wearing seat belts, and creating a hazardous situation. The Atyrau Regional Police Department reminds that any demonstrative traffic violations, including during wedding motorcades and other mass events, threaten the lives and health of citizens. Those responsible will be held accountable in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
