German automaker Audi has officially unveiled its new compact electric model, the A2 e-tron, aimed at the European market. The focus is on efficiency: energy consumption is just 12.8 kWh per 100 km, and the range reaches 646 km on the WLTP cycle, according to infohub.kz.
The Audi A2 e-tron is being called the most efficient production model in the brand's history. The electric car has a drag coefficient of 0.24, and buyers will be offered four power options and three battery versions. The maximum range is 646 km.
Inside, there is a panoramic MMI display, an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.8-inch touchscreen. Also available are the Audi assistant with artificial intelligence and the e-tron route planner.
The price starts at €38,200.
Production of the Audi A2 e-tron will be set up at the company's plant in Ingolstadt. Orders in Germany will begin on September 10, with first deliveries scheduled for December 2026.
The starting price is €38,200 (about 20.2 million tenge). Audi thus hopes to strengthen its position in the compact segment of the European market, where the German brand has to compete with more affordable Chinese electric cars.
For Kazakhstan, the model is interesting as an example of the direction the European electric car market is taking: compact body, relatively moderate price, and an emphasis not on maximum power but on efficiency and range.
