The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported that more than 27,000 people took the August stage of the Unified National Testing (UNT). The average score was 55 points, according to infohub.kz.
According to the ministry, only 53% of applicants scored the threshold score, meaning that 47% failed to surpass the minimum threshold. The average score across five subjects was 55 points, with the highest result being 136 points.
In the August UNT, 98 applicants with special educational needs also participated.
The ministry noted that during the testing period, 66 rule violations were detected. Among them, 30 applicants were disqualified from taking the test due to attempts to bring in smartphones, cheat sheets, and other prohibited items. For violating rules during the test itself, 36 individuals were removed from the examination rooms. No impostors were identified.
After the completion of UNT-2026, video recordings will be analyzed until October 31 of the calendar year. If any instances of using prohibited items or violating rules are found, the UNT results will be annulled.
Additionally, college graduates planning to continue their studies at a university in their specialty on a fee-paying basis may be admitted based on an interview. In this case, admission is carried out by the university admissions committees.
