Kazakh weightlifter Ayanat Zhumagali has claimed silver at the 2026 Asian Games in the women's 77 kg category. She lifted a total of 246 kg to give Kazakhstan its first medal in weightlifting at the tournament, infohub.kz reports.
Zhumagali snatched 109 kg and clean and jerked 137 kg.
He Zhenxui of China took gold with 258 kg (118+140). Reihaneh Karimi of Iran won bronze with a total of 243 kg (107+136).
