A criminal case involving the prolonged abuse of a minor over more than three years has been handed over to Kazakh law enforcement agencies for further investigation, according to infohub.kz.

As stated in the official Telegram channel of the Baikonur complex prosecutor's office, the supervisory authority transferred the case materials concerning a local resident to law enforcement agencies in Kazakhstan.

The woman is accused of committing a crime under Part 2, Article 117, paragraph "g" of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — inflicting physical or mental suffering through the systematic beating or other violent acts against a person known to be a minor.

It was established that between 2023 and June 2026, the woman systematically and repeatedly subjected the minor to violence not dangerous to life or health, beat her and committed other violent acts causing her physical pain and mental suffering.

The accused did not admit guilt.

Because the woman facing criminal liability is a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the criminal case against her was handed over to Kazakh law enforcement agencies.

Under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the crime carries a prison sentence of four to seven years.
