In Almaty, the Baisat market, owned by the son of Kairat Satybaldyuly, has been sold at auction. The bidding succeeded after several failed attempts, with the final transaction amount reaching 24,772,753,285 tenge, according to infohub.kz.
According to the electronic trading platform, the auction took place today, August 7, at 12:00. A 100% stake in the limited liability company "Center for Wholesale and Retail Trade" was put up for auction. The starting price matched the final sale price.
The project description states that the average annual number of employees is 64. The seller was the Company for the Management of Returned Assets. The buyer's name has not been disclosed.
It is worth noting that Baisat had been put up for sale before. Previously, the property was offered at a repeated auction in December, when its price was 26,706,317,643 tenge. Even earlier, the price reached 28 billion tenge.
It was also reported that if no buyers emerged, the market could have been transferred to municipal ownership. Recall that during the pre-trial investigation, Kairat Satybaldyuly voluntarily returned most of the Baisat market, and the part owned by his son was returned to state ownership.
