Three ballerinas staged a flash mob right in the crowd at one of the Almaty metro stations, and the video of their dance has garnered 1.3 million views and 85,000 likes, reports infohub.kz.

Social media users are admiring the women for bringing art to the public. Comments include: "And immediately such a magical atmosphere," "Sociophobes were afraid of them. It looks very beautiful and graceful," "Can we have an encore, and just tell us when, where, and where to go," "I felt most sorry for the guy in the background who missed everything, and when he looked up, he didn't even realize what had happened."

The women also posted a behind-the-scenes video showing how nervous they were before the performance. They entered the metro in regular clothes and put on skirts and pointe shoes at the station. According to them, people naturally made way for them to dance, many filmed on their phones and came up to take photos.

The creative inspiration behind the performance, Riza Taganova, dances at the Abai Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre. On her account, she shares insights into her profession and sometimes posts touching moments, such as bringing her little daughter to rehearsals.
