The past sports weekend proved especially eventful for Kazakhstan and for Bank RBK, which supports several major sports stories at once. The bank's brand ambassador, Elena Rybakina, won the US Open tennis championship, defeating Arina Sabalenka in the final, and became world No. 1 for the first time. Football club Ordabasy — a long-standing partner of Bank RBK — beat Astana in a key national championship match and moved into first place in the standings. And in Shymkent, 7,500 participants from 120 cities and 16 countries lined up for the Shymkent Marathon, which the bank has sponsored as general sponsor for the second year in a row, according to infohub.kz.

A special continuation of the sports weekend came in the form of gifts that linked its main events. At the Ordabasy–Astana match, Symbat Ibrayimov, deputy chairman of the management board of Bank RBK, presented a fan selected by randomizer with a tennis ball autographed by Elena Rybakina. And at the marathon, the winner of the 21 km distance received a similarly symbolic gift.
"In sport, it's especially important that one person's victory can inspire thousands of others. That is why we try to be close not only to great champions but also to everyone who steps onto the field, the track or the start line with their own personal goal. Sometimes one symbol, one meeting, one step is enough for inspiration — the main thing is that after it you want to keep going," said Symbat Ibrayimov, presenting commemorative prizes to participants in the sports events in Shymkent.
The sports weekend in Kazakhstan showed the main thing: everyone has their own distance, their own rival and their own summit. But moving forward always begins the same way — with the decision not to stop on the chosen path and to push back the boundary of the impossible every day.
