The Astana-based hockey club Barys closed out its three-game home stand with a convincing 4:1 victory over Yekaterinburg's Avtomobilist, infohub.kz reports.
The visitors held the early edge. Anatoly Golyshev should have opened the scoring but failed to lift the puck over Andrei Shutov, who again replaced Hunter Shepard in net.
By the middle of the first period, Barys had found its game. Chase Priske fired a shot from the blue line past Belarusian-born Ural netminder Lawrence Zinaddin to make it 1:0.
