At the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat petrochemical plant in Bashkortostan, restoration work continues after a massive drone attack on July 14. Part of the damaged infrastructure has already been restored, with remaining work nearing completion. The main production capacities were not affected, and there were no casualties among personnel, according to inbusiness.kz.
Prime Minister of the republic Andrei Nazarov provided an update on the restoration progress. According to him, specialists have already partially restored damaged infrastructure elements, including technological trestles with cable lines and pipelines. The remaining work is in its final stage.
The head of the regional government noted that prompt actions by personnel prevented more serious consequences. After debris from downed drones fell in some areas, small smoke emissions occurred, but no employees were injured.
Nazarov described the incident as the largest air attack on Bashkortostan's petrochemical sector to date. Air defense forces and electronic warfare systems were deployed to repel the attack. A total of 32 unmanned aerial vehicles were neutralized: 18 were shot down, while the rest were disabled by electronic warfare or lost course without reaching their targets.
Authorities emphasized that the main technological units and production aggregates of the plant were not damaged, and there were no casualties or injuries. Work is ongoing to fully restore infrastructure and eliminate the consequences.
