In the British city of Norwich, an ordinary night turned into a comic-book scene: a man snatched a bag from a young woman, and several people in superhero costumes chased after him. Batman ultimately climbed a wall to retrieve the stolen bag and return it to its owner, according to infohub.kz.
25-year-old Sonny Mason attended a costume party dressed as Batman. At night, he witnessed an argument near a nightclub queue, after which a girl's bag was taken.
Mason, along with other pursuers dressed as comic-book characters, chased the thief. He was joined by Mr. Fantastic from the Fantastic Four and Poison Ivy from the DC Comics universe. Along the way, they managed to attract the attention of police officers patrolling the city.
The thief was soon caught, but the bag was no longer with him. It turned out he had thrown it during the chase onto the top of a high wall near Norwich Cathedral.
At first, they tried to retrieve the bag using improvised means. Apparently, no one had brought superhero gadgets, so Batman decided to act the old-fashioned way. He climbed the wall and retrieved the bag. Most of the chase was filmed and posted on TikTok.
"I hope I can inspire people to be a little more like Batman. Not so much the running around in the dark in a costume, but helping others. I didn't expect to have to climb a wall. Everyone needs a little Batman. You need to be brave, bold, and kind. I hope everyone else will be the same, whether they wear a cape or a mask," the hero of the video commented.
