Kazakh producer and actress Bayan Alaguzova has once again reached out to renowned actress Meruert Utekesheva, who played the role of Kyz-Zhibek, touching social media users, the website infohub.kz reports.
The final of the XII Qazaq Aruy - 2026 contest was held in Almaty on November 3. This year's show was dedicated to actress Meruert Utekesheva and the timeless poem "Kyz Zhibek." The crown went to 20-year-old Asylym Otepbergen.
Contest organizer Bayan Alaguzova addressed Meruert Utekesheva. "It was an unforgettable evening, everything was dedicated to this legendary woman - Kyz Zhibek! There is no other like her and there never will be. Most importantly, she was delighted; we gave her a real surprise and a celebration. For me, the eternal Qazaq Aruy is Zhibek! Beautiful, proud, brave, a girl who chooses for herself, decides for herself, acts for herself! Our much-talked-about story with the kamsol has a magical continuation," she wrote.
Social media users responded to the post with warm comments. "Bayan Maksatkyzy, you are a legend! You made the impossible possible!
