Kazakh producer Bayana Alaguzova has returned to discussing her stance on religious matters, this time apologizing to believers who were offended by her previous statements, reports infohub.kz.
In her Instagram account, Alaguzova noted that her previous post on a religious topic caused a wide resonance and hurt the feelings of believers. "I offer my sincere apologies. I respect every person and every faith, as long as it does not harm others," the producer wrote.
At the same time, she once again emphasized that she is not against religion as such. According to the TV host, her criticism is directed against the imposition of religious dogmas and radical propaganda. "Any person with an analytical mind can see where blind adherence to external influence leads. I have always advocated and will continue to advocate for our national cultural code, and I will never place anything above my roots, ancestors, and traditions," Alaguzova stated.
In her post, she also listed phenomena she considers unacceptable: early marriages, restrictions on women's access to education and medical care, violence, and the limitation of their rights and independence.
It is worth recalling that a new round of discussion around Alaguzova's religious views began after her posts on Threads, where she said she was tired of religious propaganda and mentioned the concept of "72 virgins" in paradise.
