BI Property, part of BI Group, will establish a new entity at the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) to handle real estate leasing and subleasing. The sole owner of BI Property approved the decision on September 15, according to infohub.kz.
"To establish, in accordance with the applicable acts and regulations of the Astana International Financial Centre, a private company with the following name: 'SFERA Ltd.,'" the decision reads.
SFERA Ltd.'s initial share capital will total 100,000 tenge — 100 shares of 1,000 tenge each. All of them will belong to BI Property.
The new company's main activity will be leasing and subleasing, as well as managing its own or leased business centres, office premises and administrative buildings.
The company's office will be located on Syganak Street in Astana, and Olzhas Kaliyev will serve as general director.
BI Property is co-owned by BI Group Ltd., a private company registered at the AIFC, and Gulnur Sarsekeyeva. The majority owner of BI Group Ltd. is Aidyn Rakhimbayev, who ranks ninth on Forbes' list of the wealthiest Kazakhstanis with a fortune of $1.1 billion. In total, BI Group Ltd. has 25 co-owners, including Aidyn Rakhimbayev's partners in the construction business — Bauyrzhan Isabayev (46th on the list with $220 million) and Askhat Omarov (60th with $150 million).
At the end of 2025, the area of residential buildings commissioned by BI Group reached 2.4 million square metres, exceeding the figures of several foreign construction companies over the same period, Cushman & Wakefield Veritas reported. These included major construction companies from Russia, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. BI Group actively builds both residential complexes and business centres, commercial and other premises, and also takes part in infrastructure projects.
Earlier, businessman Aidyn Rakhimbayev said he had bought a house in the village of Kulynzhon (formerly Kaznakovka) in the Samara district of the East Kazakhstan region, where he spent his childhood with his family. According to him, about 30 years ago his father sold the house for two flasks of butter. Now teachers from the village school will live in it.
