In the Zhambyl region, a biology teacher who disagreed with her dismissal from two positions simultaneously turned to the court, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Zhambyl District Court, in April 2026, by order of the employer, the woman was dismissed from the positions of deputy director for academic affairs and biology teacher. The grounds for dismissal were materials from an internal investigation and a submission from the police authority related to improper performance of duties when issuing certificates.

The employee did not agree with the dismissal. In her opinion, the conclusions about the violations committed were not confirmed by sufficient evidence. She also noted that she had not been properly acquainted with the order assigning her the duties of chairperson of the commission for issuing certificates. Moreover, the circumstances revealed during the investigation related to her work as deputy director, while no violations of her duties specifically as a biology teacher were established. She continued to perform pedagogical work and had no disciplinary sanctions, the court said.

During the consideration of the case, the parties, with the participation of a judge-mediator, reached an agreement. Under its terms, the school undertook to accept the employee as a biology teacher from August 2026 with a workload of 8 hours, and from September 1 - at a full rate with a workload of 16 hours. The employer also undertook to cancel the order dismissing her from the position of biology teacher and to pay wages for the period of forced absence. The court approved the agreement and terminated the proceedings.
