A blogger in Almaty has been arrested for three days after he began provoking police officers and filming them for content, reports infohub.kz.

Footage circulated on social media showing the man filming the scene, interfering with officers, asking for a ride, and ignoring their lawful demands.

According to the Almaty Police Department, officers had to deal not only with the incident they were called to but also with the video's author.

The man was identified and taken to the Almaly District Police Station.

The court found him guilty of disobeying a lawful order from a police officer and sentenced him to three days of administrative detention.

Police reminded that while filming is allowed, it does not give anyone the right to interfere with officers performing their duties.

"Interference with officers on duty, provocation, and obstruction of their lawful actions will not go without legal consequences," police said.

Earlier, Kursiv reported on an Almaty resident who faced administrative liability after posting a controversial video on social media, in which he used profanity about the city administration and pipe replacement.
