In Astana, blogger Yerbolat Zhanabylov has been held administratively liable following a domestic conflict with his wife, Elmira Tolegenova. This was reported by the press service of the Astana Police Department, according to infohub.kz.
According to the department, on September 30 of this year, police officers monitoring social media discovered a post on Threads containing a video address by blogger E.T. regarding a conflict with her husband, Ye.Zh.
Police noted that in the video, the woman described the circumstances of the conflict and showed redness on her arms.
"Police officers were dispatched to the scene. An investigation established that a domestic conflict had occurred between the spouses. E.T. refused to file a police report. However, an administrative case was opened against Zh.Ye. for unlawful acts in the sphere of family and domestic relations. The man was held administratively liable and placed in a temporary detention room," law enforcement officials said.
The case materials have been sent to court for a decision.
Police also noted that earlier, on August 28 of this year, the man violated probation requirements — after 10:00 p.m. he was absent from his registered place of residence, and the violation materials were forwarded to court.
Recall that blogger Elmira Tolegenova said in a social media address that she is divorcing Yerbolat Zhanabylov. She also commented on the recent conflict with her husband.
Also recall that on April 27, a verdict was handed down against the bloggers. The judge agreed with the prosecutor's proposed sentences — the bloggers were found guilty of illegal entrepreneurship and legalization (laundering) of money and/or other property obtained by criminal means.
The court also ordered the confiscation of iPhone 16 (17 units) and Hyundai Elantra cars (8 units) purchased by Zhanabylov and Tolegenova with criminal proceeds.
