On the night of July 17, a BMW crashed into a giant art installation at a local museum in Almaty. Two people were injured but did not require hospitalization. Police have given a preliminary cause of the accident, reports infohub.kz.
The press service of the Almaty Police Department said the accident was recorded around 01:00 on July 17 in the Medeu district. "The driver of the BMW was heading east along Al-Farabi Avenue and before reaching Nazarbayev Avenue, he lost control, drove onto the square in front of the art museum, and hit the art installation," police added.
As a result, medical assistance was required for two people, but they did not need hospitalization. Police are investigating the circumstances. "According to one preliminary version, the cause could have been aggressive driving by the BMW driver. Cameras recorded dangerous maneuvers and lane changes," the Almaty police clarified.
