Last evening in Almaty, a traffic accident occurred involving a BMW that flipped over during a U-turn. The incident took place on Al-Farabi Avenue, under the interchange before the tunnel on the VOAD, reports infohub.kz.
According to information published on the Instagram account Almaty_typical, the driver, while exiting from under the interchange, presumably lost control of the powerful car. The BMW hit a curb at speed, then crashed into a concrete barrier. The impact flipped the car onto its roof, and according to eyewitnesses, it slid along the road for about 10 meters. Notably, the car, estimated to be worth around 40 million tenge, had been purchased on the very day of the accident.
A NUR.KZ correspondent sent a request to the press service of the Almaty Police Department. There, it was reported that the incident occurred in the Medeu district at 21:30. According to police, the BMW driver was traveling east on Al-Farabi Avenue and, while making a U-turn onto Luganskogo Street at the tunnel exit, lost control and hit the curb.
As a result, the car flipped over. Fortunately, no one was injured. Officers from the Medeu District Police Department are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
