The tragedy occurred on September 26, about 20 kilometers from the village of Tasaral: a man born in 1970 drowned while fishing. After receiving the report, forces and resources of the Emergency Situations Department of the Karaganda Region were sent to the scene.

"For several days, rescuers from the operational rescue squad surveyed the water area. They used diving equipment and an underwater remotely operated inspection complex. The work was carried out during daylight hours. The man was found only now. Rescuers, together with local residents, searched the lake using a fishing net. At a distance of 2.5 kilometers from the shore, at a depth of about 4-5 meters, the body of the deceased was found. It was retrieved from the water," the publication says.

According to the Emergency Situations Department, the search was complicated by weather conditions: strong wind and high waves were observed on the lake.
