A car smashed through the wall of a store and plowed into the sales floor in the village of Boraldai, Almaty Region, and the driver has been held accountable, the website infohub.kz reports.
Video of the aftermath of the crash appeared on the social network Threads. The footage shows the vehicle ended up inside one of the local shops. Witnesses filmed the scene from inside: both the counters and the car were damaged.
The video also captured a fragment of a conversation between people. First someone asked, "Miss, are you okay?" Then another person said in a raised voice, "How do you even drive?!" A woman was behind the wheel, and she said she had apparently suffered a seizure.
The Almaty Region Police Department commented on the incident. "In this case, the driver has been held accountable by police officers. A protocol was drawn up against her in accordance with current legislation. The circumstances of the incident have been established as part of the investigation," the regional police press service wrote in comments.
