In the Mangystau region, a consumer received a replacement for a flower arrangement of inadequate quality, reports infohub.kz.
According to the official website of the Committee for Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Department of Trade and Consumer Protection for the Mangystau region received a complaint from a consumer regarding the quality of a flower arrangement purchased as a gift.
The consumer had pre-ordered the arrangement based on a photo of the bouquet. However, upon delivery, it turned out that the actual composition differed significantly from the sample. Specifically, the flowers were wilted, not fresh, and did not match the expected appearance.
Since the bouquet was intended as a gift, the consumer expected to receive a high-quality arrangement matching the sample shown at the time of ordering.
After receiving the product, the consumer contacted the seller to report the discrepancy and asked to resolve the issue. Initially, the seller did not satisfy the claim.
Consequently, the consumer turned to the Department of Trade and Consumer Protection for the Mangystau region for assistance in protecting their rights.
Department specialists reviewed the complaint and conducted explanatory work with the seller regarding the need to comply with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of consumer protection and to fulfill obligations to the buyer.
As a result, the dispute was settled out of court. The seller satisfied the consumer's claim and provided a new flower arrangement that matched the sample, fresh and of proper quality.
