Irish actress and Oscar winner Brenda Fricker, best known as the pigeon lady in "Home Alone 2," has died, infohub.kz reports.
Her agent, Phil Belfield, said she died after a long illness. "We will never see another like her. The world is a poorer place without her. It was an honor to know, love, and work with her. She will remain forever in my heart and in the hearts of many film and television fans around the world," Belfield said.
Fricker became the first Irish person to win an Academy Award for her role in "My Left Foot," in which she starred alongside Daniel Day-Lewis. She also charmed audiences as the pigeon lady in Central Park in "Home Alone 2."
According to IMDb, Fricker was born in Dublin on February 17, 1945. She was 81.
