In Pavlodar, a surveillance camera captured a brutal beating of a man in the courtyard of a residential building on Tolstoy Street, 96. The incident was commented on by the regional police department, reports infohub.kz.
The footage shows a man leading another man to a woman and asking, "Is it him?" Then he punches him in the face. The victim tries to flee but is stopped by another man. The attacker knocks him down, and as he falls to the asphalt, begins kicking him in the head and body. The victim attempts to escape again but is stopped once more. The attacker then lifts him and throws him to the ground, continuing to beat him with fists and feet.
All this happens in front of witnesses. The woman, to whom the victim was brought, asks the attacker to calm down. At some point, the victim stops moving. The video also shows that after the brutal beating, he struggles to get up from the asphalt and staggers away, while the attacker continues to pursue him.
The Pavlodar regional police department told NUR.KZ that a criminal case has been opened over the incident. The suspect has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. The investigation is ongoing.
