In the Akmola Region, a temporary ban has been imposed on climbing the Kokshetau and Bolektau mountains, located in the Burabay resort area. The restriction will be in effect from August 10 to August 20, according to infohub.kz.
As explained by the press service of the State National Natural Park "Burabay", the decision was made due to a high fire danger class established in the state forest fund. During this period, dry forest litter and vegetation become especially vulnerable to fires, and the spread of fire under unfavorable weather conditions can be very rapid.
"The decision was made to ensure the safety of visitors and prevent forest fires," the national park emphasized.
During the restriction period, state inspectors of the Borovoye forestry have been tasked with strengthening control over compliance with the ban on climbing Kokshetau and Bolektau. Residents and guests of the resort area are asked to understand the temporary measure, not to attempt to access closed routes, and to strictly follow fire safety requirements.
