Video surveillance cameras have been installed on seven popular tourist routes in Burabay National Park to monitor order and ensure visitor safety, reports infohub.kz.
As Kursiv LifeStyle found out, the devices are already in place at the observation deck of Mount Bolektau, in the area of "Makhabbat Alany" ("Valley of Love"), on the rocks "Ayutas", "Kebistas" ("Slipper"), "Maksimka", as well as at the sites "Moinaq Zhartasy" ("Isthmus") and "Imanai Bulagy" ("Imanaevsky Spring").
The national park's press service explained that the system will not only enhance visitor safety but also provide objective data on trail attendance and strengthen control over compliance with environmental legislation.
The surveillance cameras can recognize people at any time of day and provide a 360-degree view of the area at a distance of over 100 meters. Data from the cameras is transmitted in real time to the park's operational management center, which should significantly speed up response to incidents.
