English football club Burnley, where Kazakhstan national team forward Dastan Satpayev is on loan, has dismissed head coach Nicky Hayen. The decision was announced after a crushing 1:4 away defeat to Lincoln City in the 12th round of the Championship, according to infohub.kz.
"Burnley Football Club has dismissed head coach Nicky Hayen. The decision takes effect immediately. It was made by the board of directors following the club's poor start to the Championship season," the club's official website said.
The Belgian specialist leaves his post amid dismal results: with one win and eight points, Burnley sits 22nd and is in the relegation zone to the third tier of English football. In all 14 matches of the new season, the team has won just twice, with five draws and seven defeats.
Dastan Satpayev plays for Burnley on loan from London's Chelsea. In the current season, the Kazakhstan national team forward has not registered any goal contributions.
