Chinese brand Fang Cheng Bao, part of BYD, has unveiled two new electric models: the Formula S sedan and the five-door Formula S GT wagon. Both newcomers feature powerful powertrains, support for ultra-fast charging, and a range of up to 900 km on the CLTC cycle, according to infohub.kz.

The Formula S is positioned as an electric sedan, while the Formula S GT comes in a shooting brake body style. In the Chinese market, prices for the sedan range from 190,000 to 230,000 yuan — approximately 12.7–15.3 million tenge. The wagon will cost buyers 220,000–240,000 yuan, or about 14.7–16 million tenge.

The Formula S is offered with rear- or all-wheel drive and a range of 730 to 900 km. The GT version is rated at 730–850 km depending on the modification.

Rear-wheel-drive versions are equipped with electric motors producing 245 kW (329 hp) or 300 kW (402 hp). In all-wheel-drive variants, total output reaches 490 kW, or 657 hp.

The new models feature the DiSus-M intelligent suspension with magnetorheological dampers. The system can adjust damping characteristics within milliseconds. Another highlight is fast charging: the battery can be charged from 10 to 70% in just 5 minutes, and from 10 to 97% in 9 minutes.

The Formula S measures 5060 mm in length, 1967 mm in width, and 1483 mm in height. The Formula S GT is slightly shorter at 5025 mm, with a height of 1458 mm. Both models share a wheelbase of 2960 mm. The sedan's drag coefficient is 0.22, while the GT's is 0.25.

The interior features a 26-inch AR-HUD projection display, a Devialet audio system, and seats with a zero-gravity mode.

Both models are equipped with the God's Eye B intelligent driving system and a lidar. The system supports navigation with automated driving on city streets and highways.

The manufacturer also made the interior modular. Various accessory mounting interfaces are provided inside, allowing the installation of additional elements, including ambient lighting, physical shortcut buttons, and karaoke equipment.

The new Formula S and Formula S GT have already launched in the Chinese market and are aimed in part at the audience of the Xiaomi SU7 and Tesla Model 3.
