In the Akmola Region, thanks to the vigilance of a local resident, nine drivers who grossly violated traffic rules have been brought to justice. The man captured the dangerous maneuvers on video and sent the recording to the police, reports the website infohub.kz.

According to the regional police department's press service, the citizen witnessed dangerous driving at the entrance to the village of Araily. He recorded the violations on camera and submitted the materials through the 'Omnichannel' system, attaching all necessary evidence.

The footage shows drivers ignoring the 'No Overtaking' and 'Start of Populated Area' road signs. They overtook on the shoulder, created emergency situations, and crossed solid lines to enter oncoming traffic.

Following the review of the appeal, police officers drew up nine administrative protocols against the violators.

The police department noted that such actions pose a serious threat to road safety. "Overtaking on the shoulder and entering oncoming traffic near a populated area are especially dangerous. Thanks to the video provided by the citizen, we were able to objectively establish the circumstances and take measures provided by law," the department emphasized.

The complainant himself explained that he could not remain indifferent, as such driver behavior could have led to tragic consequences. "I believe that each of us must understand our responsibility for road safety. When you see drivers violating rules at high speed, posing a threat to others, you cannot just stand by. So I decided to send the recording to the police and hoped that the facts would be given a proper legal assessment," the Akmola resident said.

The police thanked the applicant for his civic stance and assistance in ensuring road safety.
