Earth's magnetosphere is forecast to remain calm on July 19, according to most predictions. However, the scatter in data means experts cannot exclude the possibility of weak geomagnetic field fluctuations, reports inbusiness.kz.
According to the forecast from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), geomagnetic activity is rated at Kp-index 2 — a calm environment with no major disturbances. Other space weather services publish similar data, expecting no significant changes.
But not all forecasts are so clear-cut. Some sources warn of possible small geomagnetic oscillations, and certain models indicate the potential for a stronger surge in activity — up to 6 points. Several forecasts suggest that disturbances may appear in the evening, after around 9:00 p.m.
Experts note that since the majority of data points to a calm day, there is no reason for concern. However, individuals sensitive to weather and magnetic field changes should pay closer attention to their well-being.
On this day, it is recommended to maintain a normal routine, rest more, drink enough water, and not ignore your body's signals. If you feel worse, it is better to reduce activity and allow yourself time to recover.
The space weather situation may change: forecasts are updated as new data on solar activity becomes available.
