The criminal case over the death of 23-year-old ambulance paramedic Uldana Myrzuan in Astana has reached the court. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, according to infohub.kz.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Astana Police Department under Part 1 of Article 254 of the Criminal Code — "Negligent Attitude to Duties."
"On August 6, the case materials were sent to court," the Ministry told Kursiv.
Other details of the investigation, including information about the defendants, were not specified in the response.
The tragedy occurred on November 8, 2025. The 23-year-old paramedic arrived at a call in Astana when the brick cladding of a building and an air conditioner mount collapsed on her. Uldana sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized. Doctors fought for her life for ten days, but on November 18, she died.
Shortly before the tragedy, on September 30, 2025, Uldana married Adilet Zeinel. In late July 2026, it became known on social media that the widower had remarried. This sparked a debate in the Kazakh segment of the internet: some users criticized the man for remarrying just months after his wife's death, while others urged not to interfere in his personal life.
Later, Uldana's mother released a video address. She stated that her former son-in-law and his relatives had not kept in touch with the family of the deceased and had not informed them of the upcoming wedding.
