The criminal case into the death of 23-year-old paramedic Uldana Myrzuan, who died while on duty, has been sent to court. The pre-trial investigation has been completed, reports infohub.kz.
According to the capital's police department, the investigation into Myrzuan's death has been completed and the case materials have been handed over to the court. First Deputy Chief of the Police Department Abil Abildin confirmed this information, noting that the criminal case has been forwarded for consideration on its merits.
The press service of the Astana court clarified that the date for the first court hearing has not yet been set.
As previously reported, the tragedy occurred on November 8, 2025, in Astana, when the external brick cladding and an air conditioner collapsed from the facade of a nine-story residential building. Rescuers extracted the victims and handed them over to an ambulance crew. Paramedic Uldana Myrzuan, while trying to pull a man from under the rubble, sustained a severe injury when an air conditioner fell on her from the 9th floor. She underwent a craniotomy, but died on November 18.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree awarding the deceased paramedic the medal "Erligi ushin" (For Courage).
On November 20, the husband of the deceased, Adilet Zeinel, published a post thanking Kazakhstani citizens for their support, prayers, and kind words for his wife. He also stated that he would focus on ensuring that the investigation into his wife's death is conducted fairly.
Recently, it became known that the widower decided to remarry less than a year after his wife's death. Adilet Zeinel has responded to public criticism for the first time.
