New Burnley head coach Fabio Celestini has commented on the condition of Kazakhstan striker Dastan Satpaev, the website infohub.kz reports.
The Swiss specialist disclosed details about the physical condition of the 18-year-old forward. Satpaev was left out of Burnley's squad for their latest match against Portsmouth, which was Celestini's debut in charge of the team.
The coach confirmed that the Kazakh player has picked up another injury. According to Celestini, Burnley are dealing with the issue together with London's Chelsea, from whom Satpaev is on loan.
"He has a problem with his hamstring, a muscle injury. We have to deal with it together — step by step, day by day. And then we'll see what happens. It's very difficult to say how long he will be out. I've only been here 48 hours and I have a lot of information, but probably not all of it," Celestini said.
Because of the injury, Satpaev was not included in Kazakhstan's final squad for the November Nations League matches, although he had initially been named in the preliminary list. Due to his previous injury, he had not played for more than a month, including missing the national team's last four matches.
