The Chinese crossover Changan CS75 Pro has received type approval for serial production in Kazakhstan. According to the documentation, the seven-seat model will be assembled at the facilities of Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan in Almaty, reports infohub.kz.
The new vehicle features front-wheel drive and a unibody all-metal construction. Its dimensions are 4748 mm in length, 1870 mm in width, and 1720 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2786 mm, and the curb weight is 1650 kg. The cabin seats seven in a 2+3+2 layout.
What's new on the outside? The CS75 Pro stands out with a large grille, LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, and a panoramic sunroof. At the rear, the taillights are connected by an LED strip.
Under the hood sits a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with direct injection, producing 181 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission (7DCT). Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.4 seconds. Three driving modes are available: Eco, Normal, and Sport. The engine runs on gasoline with an octane rating of at least 92.
The interior features eco-leather upholstery. The driver gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, alongside a 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen. Wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, along with a six-speaker audio system and physical climate control buttons. The driver's seat offers six-way power adjustment, and the steering wheel is heated.
The power tailgate comes with remote control and anti-pinch protection. An electronic parking brake and Auto Hold function are also included.
The trunk capacity in seven-seat configuration is 110 liters. With the third row folded, it expands to 650 liters, and with both second and third rows folded, it reaches 1481 liters.
The list of safety and driver assistance systems includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane change assist, surround-view cameras, and tire pressure monitoring. A dashcam is also installed.
Earlier, the publication "Kursiv Avto" reported that the new Changan CS75 Plus sparked lively discussions among Kazakhstanis.
