In a preseason friendly, English club Chelsea and Malaysian side Johor Darul Ta'zim played out a draw. The match took place at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Johor Bahru, Malaysia's second-largest city, reports infohub.kz.
The hosts scored three times: Malaysian midfielder Arif Aiman found the net in the 15th minute, Spanish winger Oscar Arribas in the 65th, and Brazilian forward Bergson in the 87th. For the visitors, English striker Liam Delap scored a brace from penalties (43rd and 62nd minutes). The final score was set by an own goal from Spanish defender Antonio Glauder in the 89th minute.
Kazakhstan national team forward Dastan Satpayev started the match on the bench and came on as a substitute in the 87th minute, replacing Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson. Satpayev is fully participating in preseason training with Chelsea. On August 12, he will turn 18, after which the Kazakhstani will be eligible to play for the London club in official matches.
Chelsea will play their final preseason friendly on August 15 at their home stadium, Stamford Bridge, against Spanish side Real Sociedad.
