A shocking video captured by a surveillance camera in a kindergarten in Taraz has been circulating on social media. The footage shows a child being placed on a bed while tied up. When they try to put him to sleep, the toddler resists and falls off the bed, remaining bound. The Police Department of Zhambyl Region reported that a criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 140 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan (Failure to fulfill duties of raising a minor).
"Currently, the circumstances of the incident are being established. Investigative actions are ongoing. The actions of those involved in the incident will receive a legal assessment in accordance with the law," the police said.
It is noted that the progress of the investigation is under the control of the leadership of the regional police department.
