Another case of a child falling from a window occurred in the capital of Kazakhstan: a two-year-old boy fell from an apartment on the fifth floor. The incident happened over the past weekend, reports infohub.kz.
According to the Astana Police Department, the child was in the bedroom, climbed onto the windowsill, and, leaning against the mosquito net, fell out of the window. At that moment, the mother was in another room doing cleaning, so the toddler was left unattended.
Currently, all circumstances of the incident are being established, and an investigation is underway. The child is receiving necessary medical care.
The police once again remind parents: do not leave young children unattended in rooms with open windows. A mosquito net is not a protective barrier and cannot support a child's weight. Toddlers do not understand the danger of heights and may climb onto the windowsill using furniture. Even the presence of adults in the apartment does not guarantee safety if children are in another room.
