On September 15, China implemented a new regulation from the State Council of the People's Republic of China, introducing additional measures to protect national sovereignty, security, and development interests, according to infohub.kz.
The document states that the rules aim to safeguard the legitimate rights of those exiting and entering, as well as the sovereignty, security, and development interests of the state.
Under the new regulation, authorities will issue risk warnings for travel to certain countries.
Chinese citizens who commit offenses abroad or violate export control rules may be banned from leaving the country for six months to three years.
Foreigners who provide false information during visa applications or at the border may be barred from entering China for one to five years.
Additionally, mandatory registration is introduced for exit and entry intermediaries. Illegal activities will incur fines ranging from $750 to $7,500.
