Kazakhstani company SilkSpirits Ltd. plans to produce up to 1.37 million bottles of alcoholic beverages per year in the village of Kasymbek, Zhambyl district, Almaty Region. This is stated in a brief non-technical summary of the project obtained by Kursiv, according to infohub.kz.

"The production capacity of the line is determined by the capacity of the capping equipment and, under a single-shift operation mode (1 shift of 8 hours, 250 working days per year), ranges from 1,071,000 to 1,377,000 bottles of finished product per year, which corresponds to 53,550-68,850 decaliters when bottled in 0.5-liter bottles or 74,970-96,390 decaliters when bottled in 0.7-liter bottles," the document says.

The plant's designed production capacity for alcoholic beverages is stated at 300,000 liters per year. Production is planned from 2026 to 2035. On a 0.61-hectare plot, the project envisages a production building with a technological line for alcoholic beverage production, a raw materials and finished goods warehouse, administrative and amenity premises, and a packaging area.

SilkSpirits Ltd. will produce alcoholic beverages with a full technological cycle for making grain distillate (baijiu) — from receiving and preparing raw materials to bottling, packaging, storage and shipment of finished products.

The company intends to produce raw spirit itself from its own grain raw materials, and therefore states there is no need to purchase ready-made or semi-processed spirit. The spirit will be obtained by simple distillation. The main raw materials used are corn — 400 tonnes per year, barley — 150 tonnes per year, and wheat — 100 tonnes per year, meaning total grain raw material processing will amount to 650 tonnes per year.

Production will require 3,600 cubic meters of process water per year — for cooking, saccharification, fermentation and blending. Highly active dry yeast and starter culture (jiuqu) in the amount of 12.6 tonnes per year will be used for alcoholic fermentation.

Bottles will be filled by an automatic filling machine with a control system and a capacity of 800-1,500 bottles per hour. Alcoholic beverages will be bottled in glass bottles with capacities of 0.25 liters (100,000 units per year), 0.5 liters (150,000 units per year), 0.7 liters (100,000 units per year) and 1 liter (120,000 units per year).

According to open sources, SilkSpirits Ltd. registered the trademark HX (alcoholic beverages, beer and non-alcoholic beverages) on March 16, 2026.
