Professor Jiang Xueqin, known online as the “Chinese Nostradamus,” has unveiled new grim forecasts, warning of the risk of global economic chaos and military conflicts as early as 2027, reports infohub.kz.
The Chinese-Canadian educator and futurist has drawn public attention with his predictions, having previously accurately forecast Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 election and the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. In his latest address, the expert described an interconnected chain of events that he believes could unfold by 2027.
The first alarming scenario is a conflict in West Asia: the ineffectiveness of airstrikes will force the United States to launch a full-scale ground operation against Iran, which will escalate into a prolonged war of attrition.
The second prediction concerns the return of conscription: due to protracted fighting and a shortage of soldiers, by 2027 the United States will establish a legal framework to reinstate mandatory military conscription.
The third scenario envisions the strengthening of law enforcement: to maintain domestic control, authorities will significantly expand the powers of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and begin regularly deploying the National Guard in major cities.
The fourth forecast is a global economic crisis: disruptions and blockades of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz will lead to a sharp rise in oil, gas, and fertilizer prices, triggering food shortages and uncontrolled inflation.
The fifth scenario sets the stage for civil war: a combination of economic hardship, protests against conscription, and a heavy security presence on the streets will create fertile ground for internal unrest and the fragmentation of the United States.
Analysts emphasize that such hypotheses are based on assumptions and do not constitute a guaranteed scenario of how events will unfold.
